Everything you enter in Duck Budget — balances, bills, goals, loans, expenses, and income — belongs entirely to you. We claim no licence, ownership, or right to use any of it. We could not use it if we wanted to: it never reaches us. See the Privacy Policy.

Duck Budget does not connect to any bank and cannot verify anything. Every balance, total, and summary it shows is calculated from what you entered by hand.

In particular, the app's Spentfigure counts only what you chose to log. It is not a complete record of your spending, and the app says so wherever it appears. Do not rely on any figure in the app as an authoritative statement of your finances — your bank's records are authoritative, and this is not those.

Downloading Duck Budget grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service, Google Play's terms, and the applicable standard end-user licence agreement.

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the app
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the source code
• Remove or alter any copyright or attribution notices
• Reuse the name, duck, artwork, or copy in another product

Duck Budget stores your records on your device and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot recover anything for you — not a deleted goal, not a wiped device, not an uninstalled app.

Keep your own backups. Menu → Your data → Export my data exists for exactly this reason, and we recommend using it periodically. Delete everything in the same menu is immediate and permanent.

Morning reminders are local notifications scheduled by your phone. Whether one actually appears depends on your operating system, your notification settings, battery-saver modes, and whether the app has been allowed to schedule them.

A missed notification is not our liability, and you should not depend on the app alone to avoid a late payment.

Any purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play, never by us, and refunds are handled under their policies. For Apple, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Future updates are provided at the developer's discretion. We intend to keep improving the app, but no specific future feature is promised.

Use the app lawfully and on a device you control. Do not use it to record or facilitate anything illegal, and do not attempt to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the app or another person's copy of it.

Duck Budget is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of miscalculation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for any loss of data, missed payment, overdraft, fee, interest charge, or financial loss arising from use of the app or reliance on anything it displays. Nothing here limits rights you hold under the consumer law of your country that cannot be waived by agreement.

These terms may be updated. The current version always appears on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
